The first half of the Lawrence Community Orchestra’s 40th Anniversary Season has provided several wonderful concerts! Although we have had some great success this anniversary season, we have also had to deal with the loss of the Kansas Arts Commission funding, as well as associated Federal funding. The loss of this money for some of the larger organizations in our community has been a nuisance; for the Lawrence Community Orchestra, the loss has been significant. The Lawrence Community Orchestra is a crucial component to our vibrant Lawrence Community and the board is committed to keeping it alive, well and flourishing. But that can only happen with your help.
